As 3D printing makes its way into large companies’ manufacturing processes, many smaller companies (and even those same large ones) turn to external, “application agnostic” 3D printing services to meet their prototyping and additive manufacturing demands. There are several different types of 3D printing services listed in this section of the 3D Printing Business Directory.

Most of these are confirmed professional level service bureaus that offer several different types of professional grade 3D printing technologies, ranging from material jetting and stereolithography (photopolymerization) to industrial level FDM, powder bed fusion (SLS and – recently – MJF) and various metal 3D printing technologies.

The category is further divided into subcategories according to the main types of technologies and 3D printing capabilities offered. As the market evolves and becomes even more “horizontal” across all segments of manufacturing, 3D printing services are also specializing in specific applications and materials: for example, ceramics and construction materials or metal and electronics.

Medical and dental 3D printing services are listed under the specific Medical services category. Rapid Prototyping and Engineering services providers – that also offer 3D printing service capabilities – are also listed in their own specific categories in the Product Development section of the directory.
