"In 2006 the department of oral and maxillofacial surgery (Radboud University Medical Centre) initiated the setup of a 3D Lab in order to facilitate the implementation of technological innovations in 3D imaging into daily clinical practice. Since 2013 a research cooperation concerning 3D imaging is initiated with the department of oral and maxillofacial surgery of the Academic Medical Centre, Amsterdam (AMC) and in 2014 University Medical Centre, Groningen (UMCG) joined the collaboration.
Besides the clinical practice, we also focus on research in the field of 3D imaging. Since the startup we extended collaborations to other departments like ENT, orthodontics, orthopedics, internal medicine, radiotherapy, neurosurgery, clinical genetics, physical therapy and plastic surgery (reconstructive surgery, mammoplasty and handsurgery).
