Axenoll is an innovative company specialized in 3D screen printing with expertise in paste development, product design, production, and process optimization. Our portfolio includes, microfluidic chips, lab-on-chip, organ-on-chip, wound dressings and cosmetic products. With our gentle technology we perform bioprinting featuring materials containing viable cells. Axenoll owns the worldwide licence for the patented 3D mass customization®-technology, enabling the serial production of reproducible, high resolution items by additive manufacturing. Therefore, our 3D screen printing technology is the only rapid and gentle industrial mass production approach for biomedical and life science applications.

Axenoll is the versatile and adaptable partner for your vision, R&D and products. Besides our own product portfolio for the medical, life sciences and cosmetics market, we offer customer-specific product and process development, from the idea to serial production. However, if you prefer to produce your product at your site, we are keen to out-license the developed process to your company.

The production site of Axenoll is located within the Pharmapark in the science city Jena. 3D screen printing – Strengths

Paste and product development
We develop and optimize pastes for 3D screen printing according to customer specifications and application specific product requirements, like biocompatibility. Paste properties are modified by additives and product layout, screen parameters and printing setup are adjusted to the paste. Our technology enables the use of a wide range of materials and their combinations, among them biomaterials, biopolymers, synthetic & thermoplastic polymers, living cells, ceramics, metals and silicones.

Screen design and printing
Our in-house screen design and production enables quick adoption to product design changes, offering flexibility at low costs. Screens, made from materials like PET or VA steel, can be customized based on paste and product characteristics, adjusting parameters like mesh width, thread thickness, and quantity. Photo-polymers for coating are also adaptable to suit the product. If needed, stencils can replace screens, broadening production options. In addition, we can print on different substrates, including glass, paper, metals or fabric.
