Join us to evaluate how our 3D printing process Layerwise Slurry Deposition (LSD) can make 3D printing for technical ceramics useful to you. Use our process for your applications. LSD is more cost-effective, reliable and productive than competing processes in the field of ceramic 3D printing. The printed components meet the highest quality standards.

Profile Description

We are convinced that ceramics as a material class is far from having its potential fully exploited . Since its first human applications about 25,000 years ago, ceramics in all its facets and manifestations have been bound to the fetters and specifications of conventional ceramic manufacturing processes. 3D printing, on the other hand, makes it possible to improve its use in existing areas and also to open up new applications by eliminating production specifications. Our LSD additive manufacturing process is flexible, efficient, and simple, yet economical, reliable, and powerful. It thus opens new doors for ceramic applications. We would like to show you these doors.

How does the Layerwise Slurry Deposition (LSD) process work?

The process essentially consists of four process steps:

Deposition of the slurry (ceramic suspension) to a thin homogeneous layer of defined thickness (50 to 200µm).
Writing the layer information of the computer-animated and sliced model into the upper powder layer by means of binder jetting. Steps 1 and 2 are then repeated several times consecutively.
Removal of the built up component (green body) from the surrounding powder bed.
Firing (sintering) of the extracted green body.
