Technology in the Eindhoven region is dominated by open innovation. An example of this is the FabLab Brainport. The digital workshop, housed in the Summa College Eindhoven, was open in 2012. The FabLab is to develop, test, and production of prototypes in circulation -small possible. This is done by computer-controlled machines including 3D printers, laser cutters. The FabLab of users -students, entrepreneurs and designers- willing to apply the knowledge they gain, to share with the community. Internationally; The FabLab is an active member of a global network. This creates a breeding ground for new products, concepts and methods.
