Newton 3D

newton3d.png
Just like Isaac Newton whose scientific discoveries lead to the industrial revolution, Newton 3D innovates in bringing metal 3D printing to the desktop environment. Newton 3D is built from the research of Esteban Schunemann, PhD student at Brunel University in London, which started back in 2009. Esteban was already awarded the joint winner prize for the Goldsmiths’ Technological Innovation Award 2013 by the Craft and Design Council. Desktop metal 3D printing has been a long quest of the 3D printing industry in order to disrupt access to machines that can produce bespoke, precious and strong objects. The Newton 3D uses metal clays such as gold, silver, bronze, copper and steel which are then fired. The parts can also be finished. Newton 3D has been funded by iMakr.VC. You can pre-order the Newton 3D printer today. The main specifications are:
  • - desktop metal 3D printer working with non proprietary metal clay including steel, bronze, gold, silver, etc.
  • - standard resolution of up to 400 micron,
  • - build volume: ~5in x ~5in x ~2in.
