Profile Description

Concrete additive manufacturing, also known as “concrete printing” or “digital concrete”, is a new manufacturing technology that substantially lowers costs, increases construction speed, and improves worker safety. Concrete additive manufacturing uses 3D-printing technologies to deposit inexpensive and readily available cementitious materials in successive additive layers to build complex structures that are otherwise impractical with conventional manufacturing methods.

Numerous methods of concrete additive manufacturing have been developed by organizations globally in the last few years for manufacturing houses, footbridges, and other relatively small structures.

Founded initially to develop concrete additive manufacturing technologies (3DCP) for wind energy applications, the company’s vision for wind energy is to develop land-based and offshore wind turbine towers and substructures up to 250-m tall at half the cost of conventional tall tower technologies. RCAM Technologies’ team, partners, and advisors have been carefully selected to provide world-leading expertise in key disciplines needed to dominate industrial concrete additive manufacturing markets.
