Flashforge has released the Adventurer 4 3D printer with increased usable capacity and a new slicer that facilitates operation and allows you to manage multiple systems simultaneously.
The Adventurer 4 3D printer is an upgrade of the Adventurer 3 line, incorporating proven solutions but with a number of innovations. One of the new features is the use of modular hotands with proprietary mounts that allow you to replace them in just a few seconds without any tools. The hotands themselves are available in three variants: the standard one is equipped with a 0.4 mm nozzle and heats up to a maximum of 240°C. The optional combinations include a 0.3-mm diameter nozzle with heating to the same 240°C and a “high-temperature” version with a 0.6-mm diameter nozzle and a maximum temperature of 260°C. Heating to 200 ° C takes about one minute.
Useful volume is increased to 220x200x250 mm versus 150x150x150 mm for Adventurer 3 and Adventurer 3 Pro. Calibration is automatic: the mesh is aligned on nine points with compensation for irregularities during 3D printing. Heated to 110°C, the platform is made of an 8-mm-thick aluminum sheet with a flexible, removable stage on magnetic mounts.
The 3D printer features an enclosed chamber with HEPA and an activated charcoal filter, as well as a built-in compartment with external access for mounting a kilogram filament spool. The availability of consumables is monitored by a sensor, and if there is a shortage, 3D printing is automatically paused until the spool is replaced. Similarly, workflows are saved and resumed in the event of a power failure. The 3D printer accepts filaments with a diameter of 1.75 mm and is fully compatible with third-party consumables.
FlashPrint’s proprietary slicer supports remote control of multiple 3D printers. This functionality is designed primarily for farm operators. The onboard HD camera allows remote monitoring of the model construction in real-time. The system is equipped with a 4.3″ touchscreen display and a USB port, and can be controlled remotely either wirelessly (Wi-Fi) or via Ethernet.
