Chinese company SHINING 3D has announced an AutoScan Inspec compact desktop metrology 3D scanner – the most automated system for high-precision scanning of small objects, including high geometric complexity.
AutoScan Inspec system is designed for application in reverse engineering, inspection, quality control and other spheres, which require digitization in high resolution with minimum labor input. Emphasis is placed on ease of operation through an intuitive interface and smart scanning algorithms.
Scanning with an accuracy of at least ten microns is performed by a structured illumination method using a blue LED emitter. Two 5-megapixel cameras are responsible for capturing. A three-coordinate system with a tilted turntable allows working with products of complex shapes. The size of the working area is 100x100x75 mm.
The proprietary Ultrascan software makes it easy to export data in STL format to various CAD systems, including Geomagic Control X, Design X, Zbrush and Polyworks.
