Located in Belgium and in France, GDTech has over 180 employees, 50% of whom have more than 15 years of experience. The offer of services covers a wide range of activity areas: aeronautics, defense, naval, transportation, space, medical devices, …
The synergies developed between the different offices guarantee a great responsiveness.
During the last two years, GDTech has been consolidating expertise in an emerging technology: Additive Manufacturing.
This new technology is recently gaining popularity, breathing new life into another discipline not very well-known before: Topology Optimization.
This design freedom is however not limitless, and a list of best-practice rules can be deduced. “Design for Additive Manufacturing” (DfAM) replaces the more classical “Design for Manufacturing”. GDTech has developped over time quite a large expertise on this specific topic.
Once a part is ready to be printed, one must still make sure that the printing job itself will be a success, and one can even optimize the corresponding manufacturing strategy (supports and process parameters). GDTech makes use of AM simulation tools in order to virtually print a part and anticipate potential issues.
