Profile Description

Hankook Precision Works is the first tire mold manufacturer in Korea to adopt the metal 3D printer to pursue continuous innovation.

Through 3D printing technology, the complex forms of metal printing can be manufactured to reduce processing time. Hankook Precision Works has extensive expertise and experience in the development of finished products through such technology as well.

The company runs M290, M300-4, and M400-4 metal 3D printers from EOS.

M290 and M300-4 are dedicated to producing 3D-Kurf(sipe) for EV and winter tires, and M400-4 is being used for a develpment of next generation tire mold.

The cooperartion between EOS and Hankook goes back to 2020, and it is now ramping up.
