HSL was established in 1988 as Stelit – the first company in Italy and one of the first in Europe to install a system for the rapid production of prototypes. At that time, it was already a pioneer in production technology. That same year, Stelit also set up a design department that currently works on the Pro-E and Catia platforms. Over the 10 years that followed, Stelit became the service company in Italy to introduce silicone mold technology; it develops its own materials and processes and used a combination of technologies to create prototype and production molds.
