MHOX started as a EU-funded research group focusing on generative design and 3D printing technologies for the design of innovative wearable products, and evolved into a more general design consultancy.
Since 2012 we deliver both disruptive concepts and commercial products for the fashion and medical industry, from masks to prostheses, fashion accessories to orthoses, bracelets to EYEs
A reflection on the human body, its symbiosis with technology, its evolution in possible futures is central to MHOX work. Wearable products are body extensions, objects or systems that integrate the human body to mutate its aesthetic and functional potential, and this concept is constantly brought to its limit.
The studio has a strong background in generative design. An obsession for natural processes, technology and digital tools, the merging of the two sensibilities, joins a deep knowledge of generative and parametric techniques and methodologies.
From MHOX experience, at the beginning of 2015 the brand CARAPACE PROJECT is born, which pursues the research on generative design, biodigital synthesis, prosthetics and customization, deriving its own products collection.
Our work has been exhibited and published internationally, from The New York Times to The Economist, Mashable to Wired, Dezeen to Designboom, Design Milk to Motherboard.
