Back in May 2019 was the first time we saw HP’s Multi Jet Fusion technology in action at HP’s 3D Printing and Digital Manufacturing Centre of Excellence in Barcelona. Since that time we worked towards our dream of developing our business, BDL Copiers, into the realm of 3D printers and printing.
Late in 2021 we installed our HP MJF 580 Colour 3D Printer. In January 2023 we welcomed the 580’s big sister – the 5200. The 5200 enables us to manufacture parts at scale and we hope to help transform the landscape of manufacturing in New Zealand. BDL was incorporated in Christchurch in 1973, so has been selling and servicing photocopiers for almost 50 years (you can read all about our long history here www.bdlcopiers.co.nz).
With this new venture comes a new look and a new sister company to BDL. Still with family ownership, BDL 3D was incorporated in November 2022 to grow the 3D Printing Service side of the business. The 3D Team have the same dedication, the same commitment to our community, our environment and the same passion for this new digital manufacturing technology as you have come to expect from BDL Copiers. there is a big future ahead for BDL 3D
