Profile Description

It is one of the most exciting innovations of the moment: 3D concrete printing. With the opening of the first industrial and commercial production site in Europe for the 3D printing of concrete elements for construction, Saint-Gobain Weber Beamix and BAM Infra have taken the lead and accelerated the technology. After the first 3D printed bridge in Gemert, various projects are now underway. For example, the longest 3D-printed bridge in the world will soon be installed in Nijmegen, the Milestone housing project is in full swing and four bridges for North Holland are in the pipeline. Sometimes it seems that mainly aesthetic show projects are realized. But appearances can be deceiving! Printed objects are now also finding their way to more practical applications. An important role is played here for the mortar.
